Amaretto (italian: a little bitter) is an Italian liqueur made from almonds, apricot kernels, vanilla and other spices with a very sweetly taste. The alcohol content is 24 up to 28 percent by volume (48 to 56 proof). Congeners: Methanol 45 to 218 mg/L, some trade marks include traces of higher alcohols up to 2 mg/L.
